Instructions for Use
1. Open and Prepare the Remote

Open the remote housing and remove the battery.
2. Connect to VVDI Key Tool
-
Connect the data cable to the white connector on the remote’s PCB.

Plug the cable into your VVDI Key Tool / Key Tool Mini / Key Tool Max.
3. Generate the Remote

On your VVDI device, go to Product Remote.

Select the exact remote type you wish to generate.

Once completed, disconnect the cable.
4. Reassemble

Reinsert the battery and reassemble the remote.

Install the correct transponder chip and blade required for your vehicle.
5. Program to Vehicle

Program the remote to the vehicle just like an OEM remote.
Important Notes
⚠️ Programming Issues With Newer Xhorse Batches
Some newer batches of Xhorse remotes may not program correctly if you're using the original VVDI Key Tool (the first-generation machine).
Xhorse no longer supports the original Key Tool, which may cause errors such as:

Region lock

Incorrect region identification

“Remote not supported” messages

If you encounter region lock or region mismatch errors:

Open the Xhorse App

Submit your machine serial number
-
Request removal of the region lock
-
Xhorse usually solves it within 24 hours
