Programming Limitations for Mazda Vehicles
Please be advised that programming of this key may be unsuccessful on some Mazda vehicles. Mazda has begun updating the firmware on vehicles that come in for service. This new firmware prevents standard key programmers from working properly.
To successfully program keys on these updated vehicles, a passthrough device and an active online MAZDA subscription are currently required.
Note: Some programming tool manufacturers (such as AD) may develop solutions for this new firmware in the future, but at present, compatibility is limited.
