The Audi J518 ELV Emulator is a universal replacement module designed to substitute the original J518 steering lock control unit found in Audi A6 (C6), Q7, and related models. It provides a stable, long-lasting solution without mechanical wear components such as relays, micro-switches, or motors.

3. Simple Installation:

   • Write the dump from your original J518 module directly into the emulator using the VVDI PROG dedicated programming cable.

   • No soldering required when programming through the VVDI PROG connection.

Important Notes

• The emulator does not include locking/unlocking functionality.
  If you need full OEM lock functions, purchase the J518 Replacement Module instead.

• The dedicated VVDI cable included is only for programming the emulator board, not for the original J518 PCB.

• To clone a J518 module, read data from the original MCU by soldering or another method, then write that EEPROM data into the emulator using VVDI PROG.

• Write only the EEPROM data (not Flash or other data).

• In VVDI PROG software, always select “J518 (2010-) 0L01Y”, regardless of your vehicle’s model year.
